the lord has a plan for your life

Seek Him with your whole heart and He will be there.

do not squander the gifts you have been given

PROBLEM

God created all of His children with innate gifts, talent, creativity, and a unique calling to fulfill His will in their lives.  Many believers and their households are committed to jobs that do not allow them to reach their full potential, and in some cases, force them to compromise their core values.  It is easy to wake up 5, 10, or even 20 years later and realize that we have squandered our opportunity to act upon His calling in our lives.  This could be a business never launched, a talent never utilized, an idea never acted upon, a book never written, or a work of art never created.  Literally hundreds of thousands of people are failing to reap the full rewards of their talents, their gifts, their labor, and their faith for their families, churches, their communities, and for the Kingdom of God.  These lost opportunities are tragic and unnecessary.

God calls us to His service: We must be vigilant to steward His calling in our lives

We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away…  this salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

– Hebrews 2:1-4

As Disciples, we serve Him with all our Hearts, not human masters

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

– Colossians 3:23-24

God calls us to His purpose: We must seek, hear, believe, and obey

Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker, those who are nothing but potsherds among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?’  Does your work say, ‘The potter has no hands?’…  “This is what the Lord says, the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: Concerning things to come, do you question me about my children, or give me orders about the work of my hands?  It is I who made the earth and created mankind on it.”

– Isaiah 45:9-12
